Chinese Wok, India’s largest Chinese quick service restaurant chain, has launched a new street-style Chowmein, bringing the iconic flavours of Kolkata’s desi-Chinese cuisine to a modern and hygienic QSR format.
This new dish pays tribute to the vibrant culinary fusion born in Kolkata, where Chinese cooking styles met bold Indian spices. Chinese Wok’s version of Chowmein features wok-tossed noodles, crunchy vegetables, and rich, umami-packed sauces that recreate the classic smoky and spicy notes of this much-loved street food.
Aimed at Gen Z and millennial consumers, the launch offers a familiar yet upgraded experience of a nostalgic dish. “With the launch of Chowmein, we are bringing a piece of India’s culinary nostalgia into a format that’s accessible, hygienic, and scalable,” said Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal, Founder and Director of Lenexis Foodworks. “Our goal was to recreate the familiar smoky, spicy experience that so many of us grew up loving and present it in a way that resonates with today’s young, fast-moving consumer.”
The launch is backed by a dynamic digital-first campaign featuring teaser videos, influencer content, and eye-catching visuals designed to drive interest and trial. In line with the ongoing cricket fever, the brand has also introduced cricket-themed packaging and special match-day offers.
As Chinese Wok expands across India, the launch of Chowmein reflects its commitment to celebrating regional food culture while serving up bold flavours with speed, affordability, and quality. Chin Lung Brewery, Bangalore’s beloved community bar and brewing institution since 1960, has opened its newest and largest flagship outlet in Marathalli. The grand new space spans 15,000 square feet and offers seating for 650 guests, marking an important milestone in the brand’s expansion across the Garden City.
From its beginnings as Bangalore’s oldest community bar, Chin Lung has transformed into a craft brewing destination while staying true to its warm, welcoming spirit. The new outlet carries forward this 65-year heritage with a modern touch, showcasing both brewing innovation and culinary excellence.
Guests can enjoy a premium craft beer portfolio that includes signature house-brewed IPAs, wheat beers, fruit-infused selections, and seasonal specialties, all brewed using advanced temperature-controlled systems. The experience is elevated with expert food and beer pairings that highlight Chin Lung’s signature Asian cuisine. Favorites such as the legendary Roti pe Bhoti, tender marinated mutton served on soft roti with fresh herbs are joined by new menu options crafted to complement the brewery’s range of beers.
The bar also offers an extensive program beyond craft brews, featuring cocktails, LIITs, gin and tonic varieties, and premium spirits. Designed by Studio Camarada, the world-class venue provides diverse seating options, from casual dining areas to premium lounges and an outdoor beer garden. Guests can also enjoy an immersive brewing experience with glass-partitioned views of the state-of-the-art brewing equipment.
Strategically located in Marathalli, one of Bangalore’s fastest-growing residential and commercial hubs, the new outlet aims to serve the thriving community of IT professionals, residents, and visitors in East Bangalore. This expansion adds to Chin Lung’s established presence in Indiranagar, Residency Road, New Bel Road, Koramangala, and Gandhinagar.

Azure Hospitality, under the leadership of co-founders Rahul Khanna and Kabir Suri, has announced the launch of its 27th Dhaba Estd. 1986 outlet in Civil Lines, New Delhi, furthering its mission to expand culturally rooted, experience-led dining destinations. The launch on August 10 marks a significant milestone in the brand’s four-decade journey.
Set amidst the heritage charm of Civil Lines, the 54-seater outlet blends classic Indian design motifs with eclectic, contemporary interiors. Drawing inspiration from North Indian aesthetics and timeless cinematic influences, the restaurant offers guests a visually engaging and immersive dining experience.
“Civil Lines is symbolic of cultural richness and urban sophistication”, said Rahul Khanna, Director, Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. “This outlet represents not just expansion but our commitment to a 40-year culinary tradition that remains relevant today.”
